About Rose

Rose Spencer provides compassionate counselling, tailoring sessions to meet each person's needs. She has over 20 years experience working in health and has a special interest in emotional healing and growth. She has a Master of Counselling and is a Registered Nurse, with post-graduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing.

Rose has worked with clients from all walks of life and in a variety of settings. She has a broad range of experience and over the more recent years has worked with adolescents at headspace; facilitated drug relapse prevention programs for people in prison; and worked closely with people bereaved by suicide and other unexpected death. Rose also has a strong interest in supporting people who work in health and other front line workers who may be experiencing compassion fatigue or burnout.

Using a collaborative approach, Rose provides a respectful, non-judgmental, safe space to explore your story and guides people toward healing through gaining greater insights and self-awareness, integrating mind and body (head and heart), and finding meaning, purpose and empowerment.

Flower in Sunlight
Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It's a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognise our shared humanity.
